About Thunderbird Dog Training
My first job when I moved to Arizona was as a backpacking guide working with troubled youth, where I was given the trail name "She Who Braves the Storm". I thought it was so fitting for my personality as I am someone who chooses to face my challenges in life head on, accept them, and conquer them. I wanted this to be reflected in the name of my company, so I chose "Thunderbird" as a representation of a being that would ride the storm with boldness. I hope I can bring confidence and peace as I work with you and your dog to "brave the storms" you may be facing.

WHAT TYPE OF TRAINING METHODS DO YOU USE?
I am a balanced trainer with a lot of background in positive reinforcement as well. I believe in training the dog in front of you and finding the method that works best for both dog and owner. I use treats, toys, and tools in my training. Feel free to reach out for any questions about specific tools.
WHICH OF YOUR SERVICES IS RIGHT FOR ME?
Our most popular and premium service is the 4-week Training Camp Program! This gives your dog the most time-effective and polished approach to training that will leave you both very happy with the results. I also provide a variety of programs to fit the needs and budgets of most dog owners so please reach out if you'd like to create a customized program that would work for you!
IS MY PET TOO OLD TO BE TRAINED?
While dogs under one year old are the most impressionable, you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. I have client dogs ranging from 3 months to 10 years old and they are all fantastic learners!
DOES MY DOG HAVE TO KNOW BASIC COMMANDS BEFORE TRAINING?
Not at all! Whether your dog is starting from scratch or already knows a few commands, training can begin at any level. I work with dogs of all experience levels and tailor the training approach to match your dog’s current behavior, personality, and goals. The most important thing is consistency and building clear communication between you and your dog!
